The Erasmus Debating Society is a foundation and registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Rotterdam. Its board and committees are made up out of student members who fulfill their functions with passion and out of love for the society on a part-time basis. Normally, there are different board members every academic year, but it is not uncommon for board members to remain in function longer. The day-to-day operations are done by the board with the assistance of event committees specifically tasked with a certain activity, like for instance the DAPDI committee. Below you can find a list of the board and various committees along with a short description of their job. The Board President: Luciën de Bruin Secretary: Wieger Maris Treasurer: Rositsa Boneva Board Advisory Committee (BAC) The BAC functions as an advice group to the board and is usually made up out of former board members. Its job is to both be there for advice as well as keeping oversight. This year's BAC has the following members: Janneke Boerman Pieter Klep Sharon Kroes Budget Oversight Committee (BOC) The BOC functions as the financial controller of the society. They make regular appointments with the treasurer to make sure everything financial is recorded properly. Twice a year, the BOC is responsible for going through the entire financial administation to check it for accuracy and completeness. During the general assembly of members, the BOC reports on both the financial report and the general functioning of the treasurer. This year's BOC has the following member: Eric Stam Phillip Razat Traning and Development (T&D) The T&D committee gives workshops and training: both inside and outside EDS.
